劉志群，畢業(yè)于中央戲劇學院，曾任西藏自治區(qū)藏劇編劇、西藏歌舞團編劇、西藏戲劇家協(xié)會副主席兼秘書長、中國戲曲學會理事等職。改編傳統(tǒng)藏戲《朗薩雯蚌》《蘇吉尼瑪》《諾桑法王》等和新編大型歷史藏戲《唐東杰布》等十余部，著有《中國戲曲志·西藏卷》 (主編)、《藏戲與藏俗》、《西藏祭祀藝術》、《雪域人之靈與神之魅》、《中國戲曲音樂集成·西藏卷》(主編)、《中國藏戲藝術》、《中國藏戲史》和《藏戲藝術巡禮》等。
