本書由法國(guó)學(xué)者Dan·Sperber和英國(guó)學(xué)者Deirdre·Wilson合作完成, 第一版于1986年出版, 不僅涵蓋了現(xiàn)代語用學(xué)的很多研究課題, 還涉及現(xiàn)代交際理論。修訂后的第二版保留了第一版的基本內(nèi)容, 第二版的兩個(gè)重要變化是: 一方面, 增加了一個(gè)后記, 歸納介紹第一版后關(guān)聯(lián)理論的研究與發(fā)展概貌; 另一方面, 通過增加大量注釋, 對(duì)第二版的變化與修正進(jìn)行了必要的說明。
